Talisman

Bronze, rainwater (9th November 2014)

Rainwater from November 9th 2014 had been collected and frozen into a solid block of ice. A mould was then carved into the ice. Hot wax was poured into the mould and as it came into contact with the ice, the ice began to crack and the wax filled the spaces. The wax object was replaced by bronze using the lost-wax casting process.

The braclet will forever contain an imprint of the rainfall from my 21st birthday.
