I am a freelance artist, writer and jewellery designer based in Birmingham.
I am a graduate from the Brighton University BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art Sculpture. The course allowed me to broaden my creative knowledge, widen my artistic approaches and pick up a versatile skillset for future work.
I have a large practical skill set- carpentry and general wood construction, also metal casting, resin casting, silicone mould making, fibre glass casting, web design, and video and sound editing. I am at home in the workshop and skilled with with all general construction tools.

Through a multi disciplinary approach, my personal practice speaks of the erosion of memory, time and place within the human and the material, of the ephemeral, of the relationship between self and other (nature), and of the inescapable cycles of destruction and renewal.
I embody my sense of self and my sense of history within my actions and processes- forming a personal connection with the materials i use.
I am interested in art about life. I am beginning to discover and unfold how the world exists within its anthropological systems and boundaries, and through my art I am deciphering, mostly for myself, the social, spiritual and political issues this raises my awareness to.
Process is important to me within my art practice, forming for me a sense of ritual and connection to the world I am held within.
I believe that the most interesting art flows from direct experience of life, thus I am striving to experience as much of life as possible and to use my art practice to intensify these experiences and to provoke consideration, questions and analysis on everything I come to encounter.
Aside from my creative endevours, I work seasonally as a scuba diving instructor, introducing people to the underwater world and taking part in conservation projects to conserve the beauty and diversity of the ocean. The perspective this offers me into the planet we live on influences my creative practice. The differing insights it offers me into the duration of time, the experience of mindfulness and the microcosm of the life within the ocean.
